Tonkinese have a loving, outgoing personality.
They have less distinct points than a Siamese but more than the Burmese. These are the original foundation breeds from which they were bred.

My Tonkinese are quiet. My tabby is far more talkative than the Tonkinese. After the first cross they do not have the Siamese Voice.
They are not a one-person cat. They are happier sitting on you than beside you. But they will purr just to be with you.
Tonkinese are happy to be an inside cat.
They will go for walks with you but for safety they need a lead.

They are better with company. It does not seem to matter about the companion cat’s sex or breed. They will be great mates with your existing cat or dog.

They are very adaptable. As they are intelligent they should be trained They will carry objects around and will play fetch. In fact one of my buyers said if I wish that for once he would get tired before I did. But all he had to say was no as Tonkinese are easily trained.

They do like to shoulder ride.
They love riding in cars so you can take them on holiday with you. In short they to love you and to be loved by you.

In any litter after the first generation there is 50% Tonkinese and of the rest half will carry the Burmese colouring and half the Siamese. All will have the “look” of the Tonkinese, it is just the colouring that is different.
